Walking this journey with this family with their new addition that has brought their family total to three has been a fun adventure. We saw Isaac while still in his mommy’s belly, rejoiced along with them the very moment he made his appearance and now at 13 days old we meet again. Isaac, you have changed so much. Your belly is perfectly round and plump with the cutest little bee bo (what our family affectionately calls little belly buttons thanks to Sandra Boyton and her hippo book) and your cheeks are no longer swollen from the craziness of birth so we can see more of beautiful baby bluesi. All I know is your mommy and daddy said they did not want to forget a thing, so hope this helps. . .

Hope you love your slideshow CLICK HERE!

13 days old and already showing off his sweet smile

I promise I don’t require my clients to wear Ivey Handcrafted…they all just naturally love it so much. Really, how could you not!?! Isaac rocked his custom IH onesie! . . .

. . . so much so that he decided to do some killer modeling shots while in it! :) (R) Dini, Isaac’s crazy fur-sister checking him out (L)

We see you Dini!

This shot on the left has to be my favorite father/son shot Ev-va!

Whoever said little boy’s birthday parties can’t be cute, did not attend Ty’s 2nd birthday. Wow, this is the cutest boy’s birthday party idea I have ever seen. Whoever said little boy’s birthday parties can’t be cute, did not attend Ty’s 2nd birthday. Wow, this is the cutest boy’s birthday party idea I have ever seen. Ty’s mom spared no detail in this adorable theme for her little bug. My favorite by far was the fabulous party favors complete with a personal shovel and the most delectable dirt I have ever devoured. Perfectly coordinated birthday invitations were designed by Ty’s Aunt, the owner of Shortcake Stationery. Not only was Ty’s part overrun with creative cuteness, it was so much fun. This little guy is so loved and had many guests who came to celebrate with him to prove it! The following is a small taste of the fun faces that came to his party. You can see many more by checking out his slideshow by CLICKING HERE.

Bugs & kisses…are you kidding me with this cuteness!?!?!

Happy 2nd Birthday Ty! Muah!

P.S. You can find the artist behind Ty’s slide show song here (itunes link). I will reveal who it is tomorrow after Ty’s family has view this post!

All babies are miracles, but some are extra special miracles. Some of these said miracles come early. Some come two months early to be exact.

That warm day in March I received a text stating Sophie Ann had arrived. What Sophie Ann?!?! This can not be….Sophie is not due to arrive for another 2 months. In a state of confusion I called the source to find some clarity. Sophie had in fact made an earlier than expected arrival. We went to visit this this very tiny new little one. Only able to have two visitors at a time, I was escorted by Sophie’s mommy to meet her. Immediately consumed with emotion. A total of six tiny “pods”, each cradling a too tiny little person. A caring nurse knowing I was there to meet sweet Sophie immediately stroked my arm and said she is not the baby you need to be worrying about. Yes, Sophie was stronger than expected from the beginning, but it was not that causing the tears to fall instead it was the miracle of life. Teeny tiny life. Tiny tiny life that in this case is now one whole year old and again stronger than expected.

*****

Here is Sophie at three months old. P.S. I did not revisit the previous year’s post until after I had written the above. The similarity of my thoughts are intriguing.

*****

This is Sophie today at one year old…a bright eyed beautiful beautiful perfectly healthy little miracle!

And because such a big part of a one year old birthday party is witnessing a first time encounter with cake I am dedicating the remainder of the post just to that. It was love at first sight. No hesitation. Sophie went straight for the mountain of pink icing with both hands. Sophie continually looked at her cake and then back at her mommy & daddy seeking their continual approval. She continued to act as if she were thinking. Is this really for real?!? Are you sure?!? Okay…I love it! I love this adorable pink beard of creamy icing!

yummy!

Sweet little fingers that just became a little bit sweeter. . .

Sophie, you did good. Really good!

Happy Happy Happy 1st Birthday sweet Sophie! This is only 10% of what is in Sophie’s slideshow. Click here to view the slide show Be sure to check it out. One of my favorite parts of the party was Sophie’s 2.5 year old cousin who was Sophie’s biggest fan throughout the entire party. The entire time Sophie was ravishing her cake, her little cousin was in the front row periodically reaching her little 2 year old index finger to swipe a bit of icing. So sweet!

If you have never heard of Ivey Handcrafted then you have definitely not spent much time around these parts (aka my blog :) I just counted and this makes the 10th appearance IH has made here (and my old blog included even more ;). Here and Here are just a couple of my faves. Ivey Handcrafted feels like home. Not only have several several several of my clients & friends invited Tobi, owner of Ivey Handrafted, to make something fabulous for their kiddos, but I have most definitely indulged on many things for Ada. From literally Day 1, Ada has been wearing IH, a point where her little face was the same size as the bite sized patch that adorned the onesie she was wearing. I am so thankful to call Tobi not only the adorn-er of my child’s clothes, but also friend. Thank you Tobi for continually being innovative and making fabulous things for myself and fabulous clients & friends.

I recently threw a shower for a very dear friend along with several other fabulous hostesses. We had to gift Ivey Handcrafted as part of the shower gift! Names, sizes and colors are all we mentioned then Tobi completely ran with it. I can not wait to photograph these adorable Ivey Handcrafted originals with sweet little warm bodies inside :)

I recently documented a fun filled weekend of women and wellness. Broccoli Cupcake not only taught me how to spell the word broccoli, but also shared with women of all ages how to live a happy and healthy life. The well being of mind, body and spirit was covered over a two day conference.

As a huge Biggest Loser fan, my favorite part of the weekend was meeting Tracey Yukich, a season 8 contestant. After a few minutes of friendly conversation with Tracey, I had to be honest with her. After watching every episode of her season, I thought she was a bit mean, but since our conversation I felt the complete opposite. Tracey is warm, inviting and willing to share her story to help others. Tracy you are beautiful and a true sweetheart. She is running the Boston Marathon next month and in doing so is raising money for Homes for Our Troops.

There were so many fabulous people both vendor and attendees that were present during the weekend! Really, too many for me to describe so I am going to let Calie, founder, explain the rest. Thank you Calie for inviting me out, here are some highlights from the weekend. . .

Another favorite was being able to share this experience with my BFF, owner of A Cake Boutique. I am so proud of Becca for all of her hard work on the following cakes she made for the weekend in addition to carrot cake for 400. I would be remiss if I did not mention Becca’s sweet sister came up for the entire week prior to help Becca in such a monumental task. Girls, you did well! Very very well!
