Two days ago I was awoken before the sun came up to a day in which I would have the humble opportunity to witness the beautiful miracle of birth. A sweet miracle that began 9 months prior…a miracle we witnessed 2 years ago with the birth of our own.

She was excited with a twist of fear, after all this is something she had never done before. How long would it take? Would she be able to handle the pain? Would her new baby be okay? He stroked her hair, held her hand, prayed for her, and even made her laugh. Nausea set in and she knew it was time. The doctor entered and together they carefully watched the monitor to determine the time line. From that point on, only four peaks on the monitor that day and Isaac William made his entrance into the world. He was a beautiful little guy with full lips and a head full of hair and his mommy was no longer fearful. She did more than perfect and she knew everything would be okay. A proud father stood near, protector of both wife and now child. It was a perfectly beautiful day!

Adam and Rachel could not have been sweeter to each other anticipating the birth of their son. I am in love with their interactions with each other.

In the slideshow I shared with this new family of three last night was more on the birthing process. Rachel did absolutely perfect and really made labor and deliver look easy. She was amazing!

As newborns do, he was right back to sleep again as soon as the bath commenced. I am in LOVE with his hair….watch out David Beckham!
