In Parker’s one year old photo session post I talked about how big he has gotten and his adorable personality. This time I need to brag on his mom. She needs to be a party planner. She threw Parker’s food spread together the day of. See this was one of two birthday parties for Parker. This being the “smaller” family version it was going to simply be cake. I am floored with the full buffet Anna came up with. Of course, her awesome husband did the grocery run so they are definitely a good party planning pair. Beyond food, the details were precious. The sock monkey theme was spawned by the photos that have been taken of Parker since birth with his over sized sock monkey pal. These pics shot for scale have quickly turned from the sock monkey being the larger of the pair to Parker being the larger of the two. With this pal along side Parker from the very beginning it only made since for him to escort him to his first birthday party. Sock monkeys were everywhere. From invitation to cake to party favors and tobagon it was a full fledged sock monkey party and a fabulous one at that. Laughter continously filled the air of Parker’s party coming from all of those who love Parker the very most. The atmosphere turned emotional as each attendee watched a slideshow rerun of Parker’s first year. Thank you for inviting me to your birthday party Parker! I had a fabulous time!

Hope you love your slideshow! Click HERE.

I have to brag on one of my favorite people ever, Tobi, with Ivey Handcrafted. If you are a frequent follower of this blog then you have D-to the-E-finitely seen her work on here. Well, this time, is an adorable custom adorned hoodie that she made just for Parker. I lurve it!!! Thanks Tobi! You are the best! Definitely go check out her site. It is full of cuteness, crafty inspiration and pure sweetness!

I had the honor of photographing their Chattanooga wedding and now a year later they are still as fun and flirty as they have been from the beginning. If not even more so :) Amy and Grant are kind and continually follow up on the well being of others. They think of others before themselves and are very close to both family and friends. I really enjoyed reconnecting with them behind the camera during our Just Because Session. There really is no need to have a “reason” to have a photo session. So often after we get married we never again have professional photos done of ourselves along with our loved ones. Even, with kiddos, many have their kids photographed but not themselves. I love that Amy and Grant wanted more pictures of just them. just because. :) . . .and what an absolutely beautiful day we ended up with for their session. The sky could not have been any closer to perfection. I did absolutely nothing to the sky in post processing. . . promise! This instead was a God given gift. Amy and Grant, I think you two are fabulous! Thank you for always being just that!

One year old Parker. . .One whole year! I have known you since you were mere weeks old when I met you at your newborn photo session. It is always a little sad to see our kiddos grow up so fast, but at the same time they get even more fun. You are so much fun Parker and I loved that you shared your very first ice cream experience with me! I think you are going to be an ice cream conisieur. We all thought it was hilarious that you took such ownership of the ice cream cone. . .holding it perfectly all by yourself!

Hope you love your slideshow! Click HERE

Stay tuned for even more Parker with the blog post on his one year old adorable sock monkey themed birthday party!!!

To 20-year-from-now-Emma:

Though you may look a bit different and be all grown up. . .
don’t forget 2 year old Emma from the past.
The one with the curly hair (which possibly stuck around), the tiny tush that could barely hold up her pants (perhaps this stuck around too :),
but also the Emma that would hold on tight to a single finger on mommy and daddy’s hand,
the one that made silly faces she probably learned from her daddy,
the one who knew her ballet positions and could not only demonstrate, but call them by name,
the one who loved her plush puppy, “Plopper”,
the one who loved to run with her daddy and make her mommy laugh.
Don’t forget that sometimes we each need a little reminder from our 2 year old self.

So this little blog session is primarily about you Emma Bear. A celebration of your 2 year old self while preparing for your new little brother.

Love you dear friends! Hope you love your slideshow! Click HERE.
