I love these guys! I only met Chaz the day of the shoot, but I could immediately tell he is just as awesome as the rest. I shot Shelby, Chase and Chandler’s senior sessions last year and hope to shoot each of their weddings one day too :) They seriously are amazing! I did a mini shoot of the four early one morning and we had some amazing light! This is only the second early morning session I have done this entire year. I am not much of a morning person, but these four and the early morning light made it more than worth it. Love you guys!!!

So the girls are roomies and wanted some pictures for their apartment. Such a fun reason for a session! I was more than happy to oblige!!

First up, a newborn session (x’s 2), a senior session (x’s 2), then there is also a surprise party and it certainly does not stop there. . . even more sessions this next weekend. Moncrief Photography Portfolio Website {a thank you}

We are so super duper stoked about our portfolio website we launched just last week. We have received some of the most amazing feedback about it! Thank you guys so incredibly much!!! It has been over a year in the making and we are so very pleased with the final out come.

The most common feedback we have been hearing is that it is our personality directly in your browser. That is EXACTLY what we wanted. . .for people to be able to get to know us through our website. Likewise, we can’t wait to get to know each and everyone of you. So be sure to say hello!!!

Thank you so much to Strat Parrot with Juncture for the design on the site. He took our ideas and morphed them into something better than we imagined. Thank you thank you thank you so very much!

Another huge thanks goes to our dear friends, Robert & Aston, with Limestone Films! We can not believe you made us look this good! :) Thank you for the very-fun-emotion-evoking promo video you did for us. Seriously, several of our friends said it caused them to tear up, just getting caught up in the emotion of it all. Thank you so much for working with us on this! You guys are truly amazing and gifted videographers! Go check out their wedding cinematography! It will make you want to get remarried if you already are and make you want to ensure they are available on your wedding date if you aren’t married just yet. We also want to thank you guys for your awesome friendship. We are addicted to the Miles fam!

I would be remiss if I did not also give a big shout out thanks to Jill Zaleski who did the hair makeup and styling on the promo video’s carnival scene. She can work some major magic with some hair and makeup. You must check out her custom jewelry. Unique…that is an understatement! She has everyday jewelry to bridal collections.

Lastly, a huge thanks to Justin & Shannon Robbins for helping us out as non-model-models for the carnival scene. We wanted to show you what a REAL live engagement session with us looks like! Yes…that is right…these two make a real life couple who seriously have never modeled before. They are just THAT awesome! Thank you guys a TON! You two are gorgeous. that. is. for. sure.

amy + grant . just because {chattanooga photographer}

I had the honor of photographing their Chattanooga wedding and now a year later they are still as fun and flirty as they have been from the beginning. If not even more so :) Amy and Grant are kind and continually follow up on the well being of others. They think of others before themselves and are very close to both family and friends. I really enjoyed reconnecting with them behind the camera during our Just Because Session. There really is no need to have a “reason” to have a photo session. So often after we get married we never again have professional photos done of ourselves along with our loved ones. Even, with kiddos, many have their kids photographed but not themselves. I love that Amy and Grant wanted more pictures of just them. just because. :) . . .and what an absolutely beautiful day we ended up with for their session. The sky could not have been any closer to perfection. I did absolutely nothing to the sky in post processing. . . promise! This instead was a God given gift. Amy and Grant, I think you two are fabulous! Thank you for always being just that!

emily & kacie . sisters {anytime}

Sisters are fabulous! I have three of them myself and really really hope Ada has one, two or perhaps three someday. These two think sisters are pretty fabulous as well and I think these two are fabulous. Not only are they both beautiful, but they are such sweet and oh so fun girls. This was a surprise for their mom for Mother’s Day and while their gallery was received several weeks ago it is time to at last showcase their session on the bliggity blog. Hope you love your slideshow :)

gloria & sue . making arrangments {anytime}

They each grew up in foreign lands that offered very different cultures than we experience here in the states. Though different foreign lands from each other, one thing definitely remained the same for both. . .the appreciation of daily fresh flowers. Here in America we typically think of flowers for special occasions, but not these two. Flowers are a way of life. They are something that can be appreciated everyday and they have several people that have adopted this philosophy and truly do stop by Sue and Gloria’s local floral shop for their daily dose of fresh cut flowers.

The week prior to meeting up with these two I randomly purchased fresh flowers for our own home and when I heard them explain their thoughts on a daily bouquet of flowers, I knew exactly what they were talking about. Every time I glanced at the beautiful array of fresh living color that stood proudly on our kitchen table I smiled. I would randomly stop over the table to breathe in the strong fragrance and each time it truly made me happier. I have no PhD, but I think it just might be safe to say that flowers can increase your health, okay well at least your well being which can contribute to better health, right? Either way, I personally vow to forgo my previous thought that flowers are for special occasions and make flowers become a more regular way of life.

For your own daily dose of fresh cut flowers you must stop by and visit Sue and Gloria at Making Arrangements. This adorable little floral shop is nestled in the heart of St. Elmo and as you will see in the following pictures, saying the shop has character is a large understatement. No detail was overlooked in the shops decor. Sue and Gloria have been dear friends for over 20 years and are the easiest people to fall in love with. Not only will their flowers win you over, but these two are a fabulous find in and of themselves. Oh and Making Arrangements is most definitely not opposed to taking care of your special occasion florals as well. They are full service can most definitely create the most divine bouquet or arrangement of any kind so daily or special occasion be sure to stop by and tell them hello.

So life has been a little wild! I will expound on everything later, but for now I will clue you in a bit. We sold our house before it was put on the market. . .Jimmy is preparing for a trek across country. . .I am currently in Atlanta for some photoging. . .There are several posts coming soon. . .an electric blend of weddings, engagements, family. It is wedding season and I can definitely feel it! Love this time of year! Excited to share it all! For now here is a sneak peek from a very fun recent engagement session!

You met Denise here. As a reminder, she is the owner of The Concierge Level, Chattanooga’s premier business center, and is also the founder of Chattanooga’s version of the national networking event, Jelly! This monthly event brings together an eclectic group of people for a great bout of social networking! This girl impressed me from the moment I met her. I knew her work from the web and fell in love with it immediately. Her handcrafted jewelry is very intricately designed. Quality . Stylish . Modern . Fun are all understatements. Knowing I loved her work I had no doubt that she would be a fabulous person herself. Dawn and her family are new to Chattanooga as of the end of last summer, with her husband’s job transfer. Dawn did not let being a newbie stop her from getting to know our city and its people. Dawn is outgoing, witty and extremely lovable. She knows half my friends already and I did not even introduce them:) She is a great social networker and has really impressed me from our first introduction. I am happy to not only know her, but also call her friend. I have even been getting some parenting pointers from her since any parent would be impressed with kids that are doing things such as this and this.
