Kari may seem shy at first, but she soon warms up and her super sweet fun spirit shines through. Her faith is strong, her passion is music and she is not sure what she would do without her BFF Denver. They have many inside jokes and their quotations would make anyone laugh. Mere weeks from graduation, I believe Kari has had a very positive High School experience, but at the same time she is excited for the next chapter in her life, pursuing her passion for music.

I love Rachel’s soulful personality . . . so down to earth . . . so real.

Here is a little excerpt from Rachel:

This session was so much fun! Kelley was a blast to photograph. She had some great locations picked out for her senior session. I love different! Kelley, I love your rock girl sense of style, your incredible modeling abilities, your fun loving personality and your gorgeousness! Your eyes are KILLER! I had THE hardest time narrowing down this session because you completely rocked it! Thank you for inviting me out to do your senior pics. anna . class of 2010

Lover of Starbuck’s, fabulous music, the woods, writing, her friends and family. Anna is a great girl and I had a fabulous time with her. Unlike many of the other seniors I have photographed this year we went the more nature-esque (word? not so much. but for me, tonight? yes) route. It is always great for a change and Anna did absolutely fabulous! Thanks Anna for being your fabulous self!

This shot was a request by Anna. She is on yearbook staff at her school….so here and her buddy are going to implant this photo below along with a pic of her friend doing the same thing but in the opposite direction…so yeah…they will be pointing at each other. Yup, they are cool like that! Thought this was a fabulous idea!

This is the only other shot that needs explaining or perhaps I will skip the explaining and just say this one’s for Holly. Rahaha!

daniel . class of 2010

Daniel is the complete opposite of the other seniors I have photographed this year. The biggest difference being gender and instead of handbags this senior session featured a GMC truck. I had a great time with Daniel. He complied with all of my direction and even had a few ideas of his own. He took me to a more than beautiful farm that he works every weekend. We fished, went off road, rode a tractor, shot a bow and arrow and just enjoyed the beautiful blue skies and the green green grass. Thank you Daniel for such a great session.

P.S. Though some of my favorites, I could not get any of my vertical shots to look right in the blog post. So, with a twitching eye I am just going to have to figure that out later. Check out the slideshow for more of my favorites.

Love the serenity that this picture portrays

As cheesy as it may sound, every glimpse of this shot my mind starts singing “Blue skies smiling at me. Nothing but blue skies do I see”. (we need a little blue skies after the way this week has gone :)

So there are several of his truck, but what 18 year old with a truck does not love it? My husband reminded me that he had a truck in H.S. and felt the exact same way about it.

Daniel is a very handsome guy!

Exhausted. Absolutely exhausted. I have just not been able to wake nor stay awake lately. A too full calender and sleepy rainy weather have definitely been the culprits. It just started raining once again here, but so glad I have been able to combat a nap long enough to finish getting this post up today…at last.

Mary Katherine is a fun loving beautiful girl with huge ambitions for life, a love for both sun and snow and has a huge obsession with the sky. Had so much fun hanging out with you, your mom and sister during your session.

Tucked away in my iTunes playlist, I had the most perfect song reserved for this very session. French lyrics, fun fast beat, perfect for a high fashion run way. Seriously the perfect song for this perfect session. Curiosity got the best of me so I googled the english version of the lyrics and found the most fowl words I had ever heard in a song. Applauded I quickly went to the polar opposite end of the musical spectrum. Holly loves Taylor Swift and actually kinda looks like her too. Which is most definitely a compliment to both parties who are ARKM gorgeous!!! So yeah, now the perfect Taylor Swift song has become the background for the perfect session.

Holly is a fashionista. Needless to say I had a little, okay big-time wardrobe envy after this shoot. Holly actually left one of her outfits in my car and I thought about hijacking and wearing it before giving it back. Just kidding, Holly. Okay, so the thought DID cross my mind, but who was I kidding…like I could ever fit into any of her clothes. Holly I had a blast and I know you will succeed in fashion merchandising, but know that you always have a career in modeling to fall back on. You are awesome!

Had a great time with Amanda! She is such the girl next door…so cute, sweetest smile and amazing eyes! She loves photography and music and aspires to be a teacher. She is headed off to college next year to pursue her dreams.

I recently met Hannah through Shelby (who accompanied us on the shoot and is actually in a couple of the slideshow shots :),Jackson’s aunt. Was that confusing? :) Thank you, Shelby, for introducing me to the fabulous Hannah. I already loved your family and now I love your friends too!

Love Hannah! How could anyone not!?! She is sweet. Smiles incessantly. Has the most gorgeous blue eyes. Loves soccer and basketball. Speaking of that, as soon as she got home from prom last year she did not even wait to change out of her prom dress to shoot some hoops. Love that! Hannah, it was so very nice to meet you! You are awesome!

Lauren is an ’09 senior who graduated a mere week ago. Ah geez! I remember the feeling myself. The biggest chapter of my life at that point had closed. No longer a child yet just not quite an adult because who really wants to be an adult anyhow? Am I an adult right now? Please tell me no. It sounds…way too…formal.

Lauren is super sweet and so much fun. She is the oldest of five kiddos, loves her friends/family/chocolate and her dream car is a 1960s mustang. Lauren has a huge heart, loves Jesus, will go far in life and gives great hugs. Lauren is awesome and I most certainly would not mind my little bambino growing up to be just like her…four siblings and all….ha! Thanks Lauren for coming out and rockin’ it.
